This work is entitled The Creatrix and features a woman in three states of divine presence as suggested by the image of the Buddha, the Christian halo and the orbs forming a second halo suggestive of the phases of the moon. The placement of the Buddha may suggest that she is pregnant with Buddha Consciousness or Buddha Nature. This is mirrored within Christianity as the Virgin Birth, or giving birth to the Christ within. I purposely used a distressed frame to offer a counter play with the "perfected" state being alluded to in the piece itself.
